Official Business Account (green tick)

You can apply for an Official Business Account (green tick) Application directly from your own WhatsApp Manager.

How it works

Meta's criteria for WhatsApp Official Business Accounts is based on a number of factors and is different from policies on other platforms. In addition to following WhatsApp's Commerce and Business Policies, businesses need to be:

• You must enable 2 Step Authentication for the number.
• Your Meta Business Manager should be verified.
• Display name should be approved by Meta.
• Must be a notable brand with a credible number of press media articles that specifically highlight the brand/company name.

Requesting an Official Business Account

Follow these instructions to request an official business account:

1. Navigate to your Meta WhatsApp Manager.
2. On the far left navigation panel, select Account Tools, then Phone Numbers.
3. Click on the cog icon.
4. Under Profile, click on Submit Request under the Official Business Account section.
5. Fill in the required details with press/media article links and Submit the request.
