    You're only billed for the messages you send that are delivered. DiscoCrate does not add any additional charges for using WhatsApp. Only Meta's standard fees apply, and these will be billed directly to you through the payment method connected to your WhatsApp Business account.

  • Rate cards

    Rates vary based on conversation category and country/region rate. DiscoCrate uses the utility conversation category for 'Opt-in confirmation' messages and the marketing conversation category for 'Back-in-stock reminder' messages sent to customers.

    You can download the rate cards here that corresponds to your WhatsApp Business Account's currency to see Meta's rates by country/region for each conversation category.

  • Example scenario

    1. Let's say a customer in India signs up with their WhatsApp number for notifications on a specific out-of-stock product on your Shopify store, they'll immediately receive an 'Opt-in confirmation' message to confirm their details, which is classified under the utility conversation category.

    2. Meta's USD rate for the Utility conversation category in India is $0.0042 per message. Given your WhatsApp Business Account's currency is set to USD, you will be billed $0.0042 USD for this message.

    3. A few days later, the customer receives a 'Back-in-stock reminder' message for the same product that's now been restocked, the message is classified under the marketing conversation category. Meta's rate for the marketing conversation category in India is $0.0099 USD per message. You will be billed $0.0099 USD for this message.

    4. The total cost for these two messages is $0.0042 + $0.0099 = $0.0141 USD. This amount will be billed directly to you through the payment method connected to your WhatsApp Business Account.

    5. Now let's say you have 100 customers in India who sign up for notifications on the same product. The total cost for these 100 messages will be $0.0141 USD x 100 = $1.41 USD.
