Add your payment method
How to add your payment method to your WhatsApp Business Account
You'll need to add a payment method to your WhatsApp Business account. If your business doesn't have a payment method, you will not be able to send any messages to customers. Refer to the Pricing document for details on Meta's WhatsApp pricing.
Before you start
- You may be required to provide your tax information as part of your business information.
- You can pay for messaging with a credit card via Visa or Mastercard. Meta currently doesn't accept American Express or digital payments such as PayPal. Credit card payment method is available if you're located in one of the supported countries
- The current supported currencies include: AUD, EUR, IDR, INR, GBP and USD.
How to add a payment method
- Got to: https://business.facebook.com/billing_hub. Alternatively, you can go to go to Settings > WhatsApp Business Account and click on
Add payment method
. - In Meta's interface, find the WhatsApp Business Account that you want to add the credit card to and click the
Add payment method
button. - Follow the instructions to add your payment information in the pop-up and click
Next
. - Add your card details and click
Save
. - Follow the instructions to add your business information and click
Save
.
The credit card will be added to your WhatsApp Business Account. In the DiscoCrate app in Settings > WhatsApp Business Account you will notice the payment method is now Connected.
You've successfully configured your WhatsApp Business Account. The next step is to create your message template using this account.
